On 10th February 2018, the Pyidaungsu Institute for Peace & Dialogue held in collaboration with the interdisciplinary Minority Network, based in Oslo, Norway at the Center for Studies of Holocaust and Religious Minorities, a scholar meeting at Chatrium Royal Lake Hotel in Yangon. Various issues around the topic of “Searching Common Identity Among Different Ethnic Groups in Myanmar” were discussed. The forum successfully celebrated the ethnic diversity while at the same time exploring the ground and need for a common identity among the various groups in Myanmar. The discussions were fruitful and the outcome was encouraging. The Pyidaungsu Institute thanks the Minority Network for the excellent team work and looks forward to future collaboration.

၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်၊ ဖေဖော်ဝါရီလ (၁၀) ရက်နေ့တွင် ပြည်ထောင်စုအင်စတီကျူ့နှင့် နော်ဝေးနိုင်ငံအခြေစိုက် လူနည်းစုကွန်ရက်တို့မှ “မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ မတူကွဲပြားသော တိုင်းရင်းသားလူမျိုးစုအကြား ဘုံသဘောတူ လက်ခံနိုင်သော အမျိုးသားလက္ခဏာရှာဖွေခြင်း” ခေါင်းစဉ်ဖြင့် Scholar Meeting တစ်ခုကို Chartrium Royal Lake Hotel တွင် ဆွေးနွေးကျင်းပခဲ့သည်။ ဤဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို တိုင်းရင်းသားမျိုးနွယ်စု အသီးသီးမှ ပညာရှင်များ ပါ၀င်ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပြီး မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရှိ များစွာသောတိုင်းရင်းသား မျိုးနွယ်စုများအကြား ဘုံလက်ခံသဘောတူနိုင်သော အမျိုးသားလက္ခဏာကို ဖော်ဆောင်ရာတွင် ဘုံသဘောတူညီချက်နှင့် လိုအပ်ချက်များကို အပြန်အလှန် ဆွေးနွေးအဖြေရှာခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ ဆွေးနွေးတင်ပြချက်များသည်လည်း အားရစရာကောင်းပြီး ကောင်းမွန်သည့် အပြုသဘောဆောင်သော ရလဒ်များ ဖြစ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ပြည်ထောင်စုအင်စတီကျူ့မှ Minority Network နှင့် ၎င်းတို့၏ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုကို ကျေးဇူးတင် အသိမှတ်ပြုကြောင်းနှင့် အနာဂတ်မှာလည်း အလားတူပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှုများကို လုပ်ဆောင်နိုင်ရန်လည်း မျှော်လင့်ပါသည်။
